Smart Pool Switch Support Process

Updated over 4 months ago

At EasyHub, we provide Property Automation Solutions to help Property Managers and Property Owners efficiently manage their properties. The EasyHub Smart Circuit Breaker is a Zigbee-based device that connects directly to the EasyHub Smart Hub, allowing remote ON/OFF control, scheduling, and energy consumption monitoring for Pool Pumps and Pool Heaters.

This guide explains the support process, including the Property Manager’s responsibilities, the RACI matrix, and the Standard Support Procedures to ensure proper operation of the device.

Property Manager Responsibilities

The EasyHub Smart Circuit Breaker allows remote control of pool pumps and heaters but does not regulate temperature settings. To ensure the best performance, the Property Manager must adhere to the following responsibilities:

1. Ensuring Proper Installation and Functionality

  • The Property Manager must ensure regular maintenance and servicing of the Pool Heater equipment, as proper machine operation is essential for the system’s functionality.

EasyHub Smart Circuit Breakers are FCC certified and designed for remote control of Pool Pumps and Heaters. However, EasyHub is not responsible for, nor does it serve as the primary point of contact for electrical services or specialized maintenance of Pool Heater systems. Any electrical or technical servicing required beyond the breaker’s functionality should be handled by a qualified electrician or pool equipment specialist engaged by the Customer.

  • The device must be properly connected to the EasyHub Smart Hub to enable remote operation.

2. Monitoring Connectivity and Device Status

  • Ensure the EasyHub Smart Hub remains online and within Zigbee range to maintain continuous operation.

  • Regularly check energy metering data and scheduled automation to confirm the breaker is functioning correctly.

3. Handling Device Malfunctions or Offline Status

If the Smart Circuit Breaker fails to execute an ON/OFF command, remains offline, or does not perform scheduled actions, the Property Manager should verify:

  • If the device has been physically disconnected or tripped (verify breaker status).

  • If the EasyHub Smart Hub is online and Zigbee connectivity is stable.

  • If the house router internet is stable, the EasyHub Smart Circuit Breaker will function as expected. However, any internet disruptions may impact remote access and cloud-based automation, preventing scheduled ON/OFF commands or real-time monitoring. The Property Manager must ensure a consistent and stable internet connection to maintain uninterrupted device operation.

4. Damage or Misuse

  • If the circuit breaker is physically damaged due to impact, electrical issues, or improper handling, a $150 fee per damaged device will be charged.

  • If the customer removes the device without providing at least 30 days' prior notice to EasyHub, a $150 fee will also apply per device removed.

5. Disclaimer – Legal and Insurance Considerations

  • EasyHub is not responsible or liable for insurance claims, property damages, or legal disputes arising from circuit breaker malfunctions.

  • The device's functionality depends on external factors, such as Wi-Fi connectivity, proper installation, environmental conditions, and correct placement.

  • EasyHub shall not be held liable for device malfunctions, missed ON/OFF commands, connectivity issues, installation errors, or physical damage.

  • This device is designed to assist Property Managers in remote pool equipment control but is not a professional, legal, or insurance-certified tool.

Emergency vs. Standard Support

The EasyHub Smart Circuit Breaker is a remote automation device for Pool Pump and Heater control and does not impact guest safety. Therefore, no emergency support cases are currently associated with this device.

Standard Support Situations

The following cases are handled as regular support, with a response time of up to 48 hours:

  • Scheduled functions are not executing (verify schedule settings in the EasyHub App).

  • Energy monitoring data is not updating (confirm Zigbee connection and power supply).
