Water Sensor Support Process

Updated over 4 months ago

At EasyHub, we are a Property Automation Company committed to providing smart solutions for a wide range of property management needs. From access control and energy management to security monitoring and leak detection, our technology is designed to enhance efficiency and prevent potential issues.

This guide focuses specifically on the Water Leak Sensor, outlining the support process, including the Property Manager’s responsibilities, the RACI matrix, and the Standard Support Procedures to ensure optimal performance of the device.

Property Manager Responsibilities

The EasyHub Water Leak Sensor is a Zigbee device that connects directly to the EasyHub Smart Hub and detects water leaks in multiple locations. The Property Manager is responsible for ensuring that the device is properly maintained to ensure optimal functionality.

1. Ensuring Proper Installation and Functionality

  • The Property Manager is responsible for placing or advising the sensor in an appropriate location where water leaks are likely to occur.

  • The device must be properly connected to the EasyHub Smart Hub for real-time monitoring.

2. Monitoring Connectivity and Physical Condition

  • Ensure that the EasyHub Smart Hub remains online and within Zigbee range to maintain the sensor’s functionality.

  • Check for physical damage or displacement that could prevent accurate detection.

3. Handling Device Malfunction or Offline Status

If the Water Leak Sensor remains offline or fails to detect leaks, the Property Manager should verify the following before contacting EasyHub:

  • The sensor has not been physically damaged or moved from its original installation spot.

  • The EasyHub Smart Hub is online and the Zigbee network is functional.

  • The Wi-Fi network is stable, as interruptions can affect the connection between the hub and cloud notifications.

4. Damage or Misuse

  • If the sensor is physically damaged due to improper handling, impact, or misuse, a $80 fee per damaged device will be charged.

5. Disclaimer – Legal and Insurance Considerations

  • EasyHub is not responsible or liable for insurance claims or legal matters related to water damage or failure to detect leaks.

  • The device depends on external factors such as proper installation, Wi-Fi connectivity, sensor placement, and maintenance.

  • EasyHub shall not be held liable for malfunctions, missed detections, connectivity issues, installation errors, or physical damage.

  • This sensor is designed to assist Property Managers and Owners in leak prevention but is not a professional, legal, or insurance-certified tool.

Emergency vs. Standard Support

The EasyHub Water Leak Sensor is a preventive monitoring device and does not directly impact guest safety or property access. No emergency support cases are currently associated with this device.

Standard Support Situations

The following cases are handled as regular support, with a response time of up to 48 hours:

  • Water Leak Sensor is offline (potential network, hub, or placement issues).

  • Leak detection notifications are not appearing in the EasyHub app (verify connectivity and placement).

  • The sensor does not trigger alerts when exposed to water (check device positioning and functionality).

  • Requests for additional features or system integration questions.

All standard support requests must be reported via the customer WhatsApp support group or email [email protected].
